For most of that time the focus of its transmission has been the clinic, where knowledge grows organically out of experience as master practitioners pass on what they know to apprentices. Greg is a Licensed Acupuncturist (LAc) and Licensed Massage Practitioner (LMP) in Washington State and a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT) with the National Yoga Alliance. His practice, Foster Wellness, is located in the Magnolia neighborhood of Seattle, Washington. Greg treats patients with a combination of acupuncture and massage (both Swedish and Chinese-style tui na), and supports patients post-treatment with Chinese herbs and physical exercises in the form of yoga or qigong-style practices. He specializes in musculoskeletal conditions (including sports injuries) and pain management but also focuses on digestive disorders, stress management, men's health, and addiction.

Greg received his Master's degree in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine from the Seattle Institute of Oriental Medicine in August, 2009. He is Board Certified as a Diplomate in Oriental Medicine through the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM) and is currently a licensed practitioner in Washington State (WA License #AC60114046). He holds a BA degree from Gonzaga University in music performance and French literature.

Greg received his initial massage training in Beijing, where he studied Chinese massage (tui na). He continued his training at the Inland Massage Institute in Spokane, Washington and became Board Certified through the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork (NCBTM); he was licensed in Washington State in August, 2006 (WA License #MA00023193).
