East-Asian medicine is a clinical approach to health care that has been refined and honed over thousands of years. For most of that time the focus of its transmission has been the clinic, where knowledge grows organically out of experience as master practitioners pass on what they know to apprentices. Dana received her Master's in Acupuncture and East Asian Medicine from the Seattle Institute of Oriental Medicine. She has studied Chinese and Western herbs, Chinese Medical Language, and a number of other healing modalities taught within the scope of East Asian Medicine, including Gua Sha, Tui Na, Moxa, and Cupping. She has been trained in Traditional Chinese, Japanese, auricular, facial and scalp acupuncture, and utilizes a wide range of modalities to help her patients including: electro stimulation; personally-made herbal preparations; and lifestyle, dietary and health education. She is a certified Qigong instructor in the Liu family Healing Qigong Forms and has studied in both Washington and China.
She specializes in women's health, facial rejuvenation and relaxation and trauma/injury recovery, as well as working with people to increase and balance their energy in order to maintain long-term health.
Aside from Dana's private practice, she offers a Maternity Community Acupuncture Clinic, and teaches Qigong classes in the community room of the Dragonfly Holistic Healing Center.
